Castelsardo
( ca 6.000 inh.) is one of the most ancient and picturesque medieval
villages of Sardinia. This historical centre is perched on a rocky
side of the northern coast.

Because of this spectacular but inaccessible nature, the people of
Castelsardo have for many years used Lu Bagnu
(sea bathing in local dialect) to access to the beach and it has become
today the new tourist and residential area only 2,5 mls from
Castelsardo.

In Lu Bagnu there are many public
services (such as bars, shops, restaurants, hotels), while in Castelsardo
other services such as Post Office, bank, pharmacies, etc, are located.
Between the two centres just recently a brand new marina,
a pride for all Sassari province, has been opened.
